Schweizer Bund: No import ban on horse meat from Uruguay and Argentina

The federal government had announced boldly that there would be an import ban on horse meat from Argentina and Uruguay if consumers faced health risks when consuming the meat. However, federal samples regarding medication use in the meat were only examined for one relevant drug. For us, this is merely a smokescreen, an attempt to overcome administrative hurdles in order to quickly respond to public criticism of the import.
