Today we are going to a control point at a highway with the first group of participants of our training, to exercise in practice what was discussed yesterday during the theory. ITD (Road Transport Inspectors) are providing their professional and kind help. Two transports are inspected, both national, under 8 hours and carrying pigs. No major shortcomings are found, but several less severe ones are pointed out to the drivers. One truck needs to have its roof repaired before it can continue transporting animals. The second truck is driven by a very lucky driver who is inspected second time during our trainings. We are pleased to see that the recommendations from the previous inspections have been implemented, although not perfectly. The driver receives more instructions. The loading density is calculated as well, but everything is within the norm provided for by the law. It is good to see that in both cases transport documentation is complete and correct. This practical day shows the added value when the two inspections cooperate.
