Poland | Bodzentyn | Monthly Report January: Cattle & Horse Markets

Bodzentyn. Due to the subsidies, most of the animals at the market are calves.

Bodzentyn. A little calf covered with blanket in order to protect him from the cold.

Bodzentyn. Lately, only one big trader comes to the market regularly.

This month, we do not observe any injured or neglected animals whilst inspecting the cattle market in Bodzentyn. The veterinary inspection is controlling every market, sometimes also with the assistance of local police. The average number of cattle present at the market amounts to about 150 animals. The majority are calves. The government will start to subsidise soon, and famers are looking for new animals in order to get more grants.

At the horse market our team does not see a single horse again.
