Our team starts at 6 o’clock inspecting cattle market in Bodzentyn. There are about 600 animals a little less than weeks before and the atmosphere is calm. Most of the animals are in general good condition only a few cows with overgrown hooves and one with swollen udder are observed. Team notes the ear tag numbers and will request an inspection of the place of origin of these animals. Quite positive changes are seen at the market, more and more traders present at the market are transporting cattle loose, more over three of four carriers keep loading animals at one deck on the swanneck where there is a limited headspace. Only the slaughterhouse belongs to Ogonek doesn’t want to cooperate and ignores market staff and vet inspector’s warnings. We will send a complaint to the regional Vet Inspection in charge of his slaughterhouse.
